irna to cover 9th anniversary of late imam khomeini on internet
tehran, june 3, irna -- the grand son of the late father of the
islamic revolution and founder of the islamic republic of iran,
hojjatoleslam seyyed hassan khomeini inspected various parts of the
islamic republic news agency (irna) on monday june 3.
hojjatoleslam khomeini, also custodian of the holy shrine of the
late imam khomeini, during his inspection thanked irna staff for
their efforts in disseminating news.
the custodian of the holy shrine of the late imam khomeini then
was briefed by the managing director of irna fereydoun vardinejad on
the function and programs of the special headquarters set up in irna
for covering news of the nineth departure anniversary of the father of
the islamic revolution.
the headquarters began its activities on may 10.
the custodian of the late imam khomeini's holy shrine was also
briefed on work of various news desks at irna by their respective
chief editors.
hojjatoleslam hassan khomeini then inspected technical department
and computer site of irna and got informed on the measures adopted
there to cover the news of nineth death anniversary of the imam.
referring to irna's activities on the internet, he stated "i sure
that with love, faith and committment, the use of technology and
modern science have opened a new windows to the world so that people
around the world would become more and more acquainted with the
genuine culture of islam and its capabilities."
the custodian of the late imam khomeini's holy shrine expressed
hope that "through advancing our perceptions and strengthening our
beliefs, we can be made capable of dispensing the responsibilities
assigned to us effectively by imam khomeini and conquer new horizons
in the the lofty ideals of islam and the islamic revolution."
hojjatoleslam khomeini during his two-hour inspection visit to
irna also became acquainted with earlier activities of the news agency
in covering programs, producing news and alive broadcast of the irib
programs on internet, on different religious, national and other
occasions.
irna's special program for the nineth departure anniversary of
the late architect of the islamic republic of iran will be on the
internet audio-visual wise inclusive of the late imam biography, its
relation with the history of the islamic revolution, the will of the
late imam and his views on different subjects all being available
in softwares.
